The five purposes of the church are commonly understood as the core functions God designed the Church to fulfill. These purposes are rooted in Scripture and help guide believers and ministries in living out God’s mission. These five purposes can be summarized as:

- Ministry – Serve others
- Evangelism/Mission – Reach the world
